The Admissions and Financial Aid Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth delivery of admissions and financial aid services at the university. This role involves daily interactions with students, responding to inquiries, providing guidance on financial aid procedures, and assisting with essential documentation. The coordinator helps students navigate their financial aid options, manages application processing, and ensures compliance with policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Student Interaction: Communicate with students both in-person and via email to answer their questions and provide guidance on financial aid processes.
- Collaboration with University Departments: Work closely with various departments to ensure seamless delivery of services.
- Counseling on Financial Aid Procedures: Guide students through the procedures and policies followed by the Financial Aid Office, helping them understand their options.
- Paperwork Assistance: Assist students with the necessary paperwork for financial aid applications and funding.
- Provide Financing Options: Offer students details on financing options, payment plans, and financial estimates.
- Review of Student Files: Ensure all necessary documents are submitted and funding is accurate before proceeding with financial aid.
- Monitor Financial Aid Plans: Keep track of students’ financial aid status and assist with any required changes or updates.
- Interviews with Students and Parents: Conduct interviews to understand the financial needs of students and their families.
- Committee Meetings: Lead meetings with the Financial Aid Committee and Deans’ Committee to review applications and appeals.
- Application Processing: Present financial aid applications to the Financial Aid Committee for approval.
- Satisfactory Performance Review: Assess the academic performance of financial aid recipients to ensure they meet eligibility criteria.
- Verification Process: Verify ambiguous financial aid applications as needed, traveling across various cities in Pakistan.
- Exit Interviews: Conduct interviews with graduating students to address any remaining balances before graduation.
- Manage Scholarship Programs: Oversee external and internal scholarship programs.
- Supervise Compensation Policy: Ensure the work compensation policy is being followed and updated with necessary changes.
