Role Overview
We are seeking a full-time, on-site Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Wah Engineering College. The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering lectures, mentoring students, guiding research projects, and contributing to the overall academic development of the department. This position offers an excellent opportunity to shape the next generation of engineers while engaging in meaningful academic and research work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching: Conduct undergraduate and graduate-level lectures and seminars in Civil Engineering subjects.
- Student Mentorship: Provide academic guidance and mentorship to students, supporting their learning journey and career development.
- Research: Supervise student research projects and contribute to ongoing departmental research efforts.
- Academic Development: Play an active role in enhancing the academic environment of the department by collaborating with colleagues on curriculum development, teaching methods, and educational initiatives.
- Professional Growth: Stay current with advancements in the field of Civil Engineering, incorporating modern research findings and tools into teaching.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: A Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, specializing in fields such as Construction Engineering and Management, Transportation, Soil Mechanics, or related areas.
- Research & Projects: Experience in conducting research and handling academic projects is essential.
- Teaching Experience: Previous experience in teaching at the university level is a plus but not mandatory.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in modern engineering software and tools relevant to Civil Engineering.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to analyze complex engineering problems and develop effective solutions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with students and colleagues.
- Mentoring: Ability to guide students in their academic and professional development.
