Job Opportunity: Faculty Position in Clinical Psychology

NUR International University is seeking to hire faculty members for its Department of Clinical Psychology. The department offers comprehensive academic and practical training, with students gaining hands-on experience through clinical placements at Fatima Memorial Hospital and other locations in Lahore. The School of Psychology also runs the NUR Center for Well-being, providing support to both students and staff.

The university offers the following programs under the School of Psychology:

BS in Clinical Psychology
MS in Clinical Psychology
Advanced Diploma in Clinical Psychology

As a faculty member, the selected candidate will be responsible for teaching courses in the Department of Psychology and other departments as required. Additionally, the role involves supervising clinical practice for students, guiding research for both BS and MS students, and coordinating placements and internships for clinical psychology students. Faculty members are also expected to engage in university-wide activities as needed.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

Qualifications

PhD, PsyD, or EdD in Psychology or a related field.
Preference will be given to candidates with a doctoral degree from a top-tier international university.
Experience in clinical practice is highly preferred.

Experience

A minimum of 10 years of teaching and research experience, or 5 years of post-PhD teaching/research experience in an HEC-recognized university.
At least 10 research publications, with at least 4 published in the last 5 years in HEC-recognized journals.
Some administrative experience.
Experience in clinical practice is preferred.

Desired Skills

Knowledge of HEC standards.
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with administrators, faculty, students, and staff.
A proven track record of scholarly achievements.
Demonstrated leadership and administrative experience.
A strong understanding of scientific methodologies and practices.
A history of excellence in teaching, research, and service to the profession.
